Fashion is often cited as the 2nd most polluting industry after oil. While this statistic can be debated, what is for sure is that the processing of raw materials required for textiles, as wells the vast amounts of water used, contributes significantly to the emission of greenhouse gasses, a leading cause of climate change.
The fashion industry needs to have a seat at the table in negotiations to affect real and meaningful change that are attainable in the industry.
